Brows and lashes

Brow lamination and lash lifts, in Kamloops.

Brow lamination, shaping with wax and tint, and the YUMI keratin lash lift. These are the details people notice first, and all of them work with the hairs you already have rather than adding something on top.

Good for
Brows that grow in irregular directions, gaps between the hairs, lashes you want lifted
What I do
Brow lamination, shaping with wax and tint, the YUMI Lash Lift
How long it holds
Lamination for weeks rather than hours, the lash lift eight to twelve weeks
What goes on
Keratin and a vitamin infusion, with no false lashes and no adhesives
All treatments
The treatment room, with a draped treatment bed under a cream throw and cushion, a sheepskin rug on the wood floor, an antique rose coloured armoire with a mirror, framed pictures on the wall, and a ring light on a tripod beside a small equipment trolley
The room your brow and lash appointment happens in. The ring light is there because this is close work, done one to one.
How it works

Your own brows, your own lashes

Nothing false is added in any of this. Brow lamination reworks the hairs you already have so they sit where you want them, and the lash lift works on your natural lashes at the root. What you walk out with is still yours, which is why it keeps looking like you as it grows.

Brow lamination

Lamination reconstructs the brow hairs so they stay in the shape you want them. It suits anyone whose hairs grow in irregular directions, or who has gaps between them, or who wants the fuller, brushed up look that no amount of gel, pomade or soap will hold all day. Combing the hairs over sparse areas and upward creates real visible volume, and it holds for weeks rather than hours.

Shaping, wax and tint

Lamination is not the right answer for everyone. If what you are after is a clean shape and a little more depth, I also do straightforward brow shaping with wax and tint.

The YUMI Lash Lift

For lashes I use the YUMI Lash Lift, which is a keratin treatment rather than extensions. Your natural lashes are lifted at the root and individually filled with a keratin and vitamin infusion, so they curve upward and look thicker and darker, and the eye opens up. There are no false lashes and no adhesives at any point, and CoQ10 gel pads sit under the eye through the treatment.

The lift lasts eight to twelve weeks, which is the natural life cycle of a lash. Nothing has to be taken off at the end of it, because nothing was stuck on to begin with.

You are the only person booked in while you are here. There is no front desk and no queue behind you, just the lounge and whatever pace the appointment needs.

The appointment

What actually happens

Neither of these asks much of you beforehand. What is worth knowing is how we choose between them, what the lash treatment involves, and how long you keep the result.

Choosing between them

Some people come in asking for lamination and leave with a shape and a tint instead. We look at how your brows actually grow, and at what you have been trying to make them do every morning, before deciding which one is worth doing.

During the lash lift

CoQ10 gel pads sit under the eye throughout, while the lashes are lifted at the root and filled individually with the keratin and vitamin infusion. No false lashes and no adhesives come near it at any stage.

How long you keep it

Lamination holds for weeks rather than hours, which is the difference between fixing your brows every morning and not thinking about them. The lash lift lasts eight to twelve weeks, the natural life cycle of a lash, and it grows out with your own lashes.
