Manicures and pedicures, in Kamloops.
Bio Seaweed Gel on hands and feet, chosen because of what it does not do to the nail underneath. Booked in the same Kamloops studio as everything else.
Chosen for what it does not do
Bio Seaweed Gel is a family owned Canadian company that has been making healthier nail products since 2006, and one of the earliest advocates for gentler nail care. Their formulations are big five free, so no formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, BHA or camphor, and they are vegan and cruelty free.
Why it matters for your nails
Regardless of how often you wear it, it does not damage the natural nail. There is no sanding, drilling, priming or bonding needed to make it stick, so I am not roughing up your nail to get adhesion, and nothing extra has to go on underneath. It cures under the lamp in seconds rather than air drying, so there is no smudging on the way out.
Wear and removal
Expect two weeks or more without chips, lifting or cracks. Removal is a proper professional soak, then the loosened gel is gently pushed off. That part matters more than people think: a hard removal, or peeling it off early, is what actually damages nails.
The nail station sits in the same studio as everything else, with the same person across the table from you. No front desk, and nobody waiting on the appointment behind you.
On, worn, and off again
Nothing complicated about this one. What decides the state of your nails is the gel that goes on and, just as much, the way it comes back off.
Choosing a colour
You pick from the wall in the studio. Every bottle on it is Bio Seaweed Gel, so the only decision in front of you is the colour, not what it is going to cost the nail underneath.
While it is on
Expect two weeks or more without chips, lifting or cracks. It cures under the lamp in seconds rather than air drying, so there is nothing left to smudge by the time you pick your keys up.
Taking it off
Book the removal in rather than picking at it. It is a proper professional soak, then the loosened gel is gently pushed off. A hard removal, or peeling it off early, is what actually damages nails.

Had a pedi and a gel fill, and my hands look gorgeous.

From Yumi lash lifts and dermstamp treatments to waxing, chemical peels, manis and pedis, I trust Dannielle from head to toe.

Come and see the wall in person
If gel has left your nails thin or sore before, it is usually the removal that did it rather than the polish. Tell me how to reach you and what you would like booked in, and we will go from there.
- A proper look at your skin, in person
- An honest plan, in the order that makes sense
- You decide what, if anything, comes next
