Chemical peels, in Kamloops.
A solution applied to the skin and left on for a precise length of time, to take off the tired, dead layer and let a brighter complexion show. No surgery, and no lengthy downtime.
Taking off the layer that is holding you back
Peels are solutions applied to the skin and left on for a precise length of time before being removed. They take off tired, dead skin to reveal a brighter complexion, accelerate cell turnover and stimulate collagen, and they do it without lengthy downtime or surgery.
What a peel works on
Fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, pigmentation, age spots, melasma, dull skin and acne. Which of those we go after decides which peel goes on, not the other way around.
The three peels I use
- The TCA reveal peel, a physician strength formula for aging skin, uneven texture and hyperpigmentation.
- The lactic acid radiance peel, gentler and formulated for combination and dry skin. It is where I usually start first time peel clients.
- The glycolic resurfacing peel, a fast acting exfoliant that suits oily, problematic skin.
Choosing between them
Each peel has its own chemical compound matched to a focused result, so the choice comes down to your skin type, what we are treating and how much healing time you can give it. If you have never had a peel before, we usually begin gently and build from there.
One room, one to one, with the same person choosing the peel and timing it every visit. No rotating technicians, and nobody waiting on the appointment behind you.
Before, during and after
A peel asks a little more of you than most treatments do, and almost all of it happens in the days either side of the appointment.
Before your appointment
Come with clean, makeup free skin. Depending on what we have chosen, I may ask you to stop using strongly exfoliating products for three days beforehand, so the peel meets your skin rather than fighting something already on it.
During the session
The solution goes on and stays on for a precise length of time, then it comes off. How long that is depends entirely on which peel we chose, and I stay with you the whole way through it.
Afterwards
Depending on the peel, anywhere from no downtime to a few days of healing. Be careful to avoid direct sun during that window. I always apply a layer of sunscreen at the end of your treatment.

Professional, timely, friendly, helpful. Had a chemical peel for the first time, it was a great experience. She shared a lot of information about the whole process and made sure that my skin did not feel irritated during the treatment.
